FOMM Mother’s Day Stall

A very big THANK YOU to the FOMM Team and parent helpers for the FOMM Mother’s Day Stall.  It was a beautiful opportunity for students to purchase a selection of gifts on offer and to have something to give to their mum on Mother’s Day.  We hope all our mums have a relaxing day, full of love, laughter and happy memories to cherish for year to come.  Happy Mother’s Day.

Celebration of Learning

Our warmest congratulations to Emma, Telina, Tyler, Scarlett, Georgia, Sienna, Roman, Douie, Amalia and Jessica on their achievements in the recent District Cross Country.  We wish the students all the very best in the next event - the Casey North Division – Good Luck!

EMP Evacuation

Yesterday students participated in a practice Evacuation Drill as part of our Emergency Management Plan.  All students, staff and visitors safely assembled on the Small Oval and everyone was accounted for in under 20 minutes.  We will continue to practice drills each term as part of our Emergency Management planning.

Australian Early Development Census (AEDC)

In early 2021, our school, along with thousands of others across the country will begin preparations for the fifth Australian Early Development Census (AEDC).  The AEDC gives us a national picture of the development, health and wellbeing of children in their first year of full-time school. Since 2009, the census results have helped communities, schools and governments plan services and develop better policies to target support for children and families.  Students don’t miss any class time, and parents/carers don’t need to supply schools with any new information for the census.  Participation in the AEDC is voluntary. Parents/carers don’t need to take any action unless they choose not to include their children in the census.  To find out more about the census and how communities are using the data to help children and families visit the AEDC website: www.aedc.gov.au.  If you have any questions, or would like to opt out of the census, please contact Sally Lane or Claire Giles – Foundation Teachers.

Insight SRC Surveys

The Insight SRC Survey is due to be completed by Friday 7 May.  The Insight SRC Survey data provides valuable evidence for the school leadership team in understanding the current culture of our school and assists in the development of necessary climate which support and sustain expert teacher practice and improved student learning outcomes.  Staff, selected parents and students from both the Middle and Senior levels have been asked to complete the survey and we look forward to analysing the results to ensure continued growth on our school improvement journey.

Road Works

From late May 2021, crews will begin installing flexible safety barriers on Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road and Narre Warren North Road, between Thompsons Road in Cranbourne and Fox Road in Narre Warren North, with works taking place Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm.  Works on this project are expected to be completed in 2021, weather permitting.  You can find out more on the project at https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/planning-and-projects/melbourne-road-projects/narre-warren-cranbourne-road-and-narre-warren-north-road-safety-improvements
