CHILD SAFETY AND WELLBEING
Child Safe Standards
Our school is safe, student centred and animated by our school values.
We aim to Inspire Hearts and Minds.
"Children are the future of the human family: all of us are expected to promote their growth, health and tranquillity." Pope Francis 2021
At Mary MacKillop Primary School, we believe that ensuring the safety of the students in our care is an integral part of who we are as a Catholic faith community. We adhere to Victorian Child Safe Standards and Ministerial Order No. 1359. We embed a culture of child safety and the matter is taken very seriously.

Daniel Morcombe Foundation - Day For Daniel - Friday 27th October
Australia’s largest child safety education and awareness day, held annually on the last Friday of October, 'Day for Daniel' honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe. All members of the community are asked on this very special day to Wear Red, Educate and Donate.
Parents, carers, and educators are encouraged to start a conversation with children and young people about personal safety.
As part of a comprehensive whole school approach to personal safety education, teachers utilise the broad resources provided by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation to encourage positive discussions and in turn, promote better decision making and safer outcomes.
On Friday 27th October all staff, students and families are invited to wear RED supporting the 'Day for Daniel' campaign.
