On August 25th, ten Year 6 students were selected to 'Write a Book in a Day'. The group wrote, published and illustrated a book in one day, spending 12 hours at school from 8am in the morning to 8pm. They named the book ‘Coco’s Curse’. Originally, the book got shortlisted but sadly it didn't get the best book award in our category. But recently, the group received some awesome news!

The book has won the award for the Best Illustrated Book out of Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. It was announced at assembly last week and the students all received a certificate and a ribbon for their efforts.

The group would like to thank everyone for their donations and their support throughout the multiple weeks of the fundraiser. They would particularly want to thank all the staff and office ladies for their help during the day and especially Mrs Vlajankov for all her help, support, organisation and leadership. This was a complete team effort and they couldn’t have done this without everyone in the Write a Book in a Day team.
