Celebrating Child Safety Week
This week we have been celebrating Child Safety Week where we continue to embrace the message “Every child, in every community, needs a fair go.” This year the focus is on children feeling safe and supported so they can thrive and grow up being connected to, and supported in, their family, school community and culture. A special mention and note of thanks to Lize Privitera - our Child Safety Champion for her work and commitment to ensuring our students understand how to identify body clues and to take actions to keep themselves safe. Our Year 6 school leaders have played an important role in highlighting child safety messages to all students with their sharing of the student friendly version of our Child Safe Policy. Congratulations to our Year 6 student leaders on the way in which they have shared key child safety messages to all grade levels to ensure “Every student in our school community has a fair go.”

NAPLAN - Year 3 and Year 5
Student NAPLAN results will be distributed to Year 3 and Year 5 students tomorrow. At this stage, we do not have access to State or National Level NAPLAN data, so we are unable to determine our students’ achievements at this level. Our analysis of our students’ results at the school level shows very good data in the NAPLAN areas of Reading, Writing, Grammar and Punctuation, Spelling and improving data in the area of Numeracy. It is very pleasing to see our explicit improvement agenda focus of Student Voice and Agency and Planning for Improved Student Learning is having positive impacts in this area of our student data. Congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students, their teachers and ESO support staff on their amazing results!
