DEPUTY PRINCIPAL - Lize Privitera
Our annual school family mass celebration at Our Lady Help Christians Parish will be held this Saturday 6th August, at the 6.00pm Parish Mass. All families are invited to attend Mass and join together celebrating the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. Thank you to the families and students who have taken up the invitation to take on various ministries of the mass. We look forward to seeing you at the mass and joining the Eucharistic celebration as we together acknowledge the foundress of our School, Mary MacKillop.
The week ahead:
- Students will have the opportunity to participate in Kaboom Sports on Monday 8th August (Feast Day of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop). All students can wear their sports uniform for the day.
- A whole School Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 10th August, 11.15 am in Allen Hall (please note change of date)
- On Thursday lots of fun fundraising activities have been organised by the class teachers in support of the Mary MacKillop today Foundation. Please refer to the attachment which outlines the particular fundraisers taking place on Thursday 11th August. Supporting these events and donating a gold coin or two will contribute to the vital work of the Sisters of St Joseph in helping vulnerable communities in Australia and overseas to flourish.
- The students will receive a special treat to take home next Wednesday! More about this next week! Happy Feast Day to all!

Luke 12:32-48
In next Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that we need to be alert disciples. Let’s pay attention to learn what we need to be alert for.
Jesus wants us to be alert for his return. Jesus has saved us, but we should not just sit back and do nothing. He teaches us that we should pay attention to others and notice how we can help them. That way, when Jesus returns, he will find us acting as his loving disciples. Let’s all plan to pay special attention to how we can help our family and friends today.
