Celebrating Student Learning
100 days of Learning
Congratulations to our Foundation students 100 days of learning. Monday was certainly a day full of fun activities, learning and celebrating this milestone in our students learning journey. A big thank you to our Foundation Teachers - Sally Lane, Gabby Di Biase and Claire Giles for the preparation for this event as well as the all the learning opportunities on offer throughout Semester One and a big thank you to our Education Support Officers in the Foundation Level - Terri and Terry for the support they have offered throughout the year. We have included some of the many photos taken on the day, for your enjoyment. We look forward to continuing to celebrate our Foundation students learning journey!
Feast Day Celebrations
Next week we look forward to celebrating our Feast Day Celebrations. More information on our Feast Day is included in the Religious Education section of the newsletter. Kaboom Sports will be at school on Monday after recess to engage our students in fun, team based activities. Students are encouraged to wear their sports uniform and runners as there will be lots of movement in the many activities on offer.
Australian Mathematics Competition
Today students in Year 3 to Year 6 were offered the opportunity to participate in the annual Australian Mathematics Competition. The AMC is an engaging and challenging 30 problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives. Australia’s leading educators and academics actively design the unique AMC problems each year. The AMC problems encourage deep mathematical thinking and the application of multiple mathematical processes. Well done to all our students in Years 3 to 6 who participated and a very big thank you to Helen Fourna for organising this opportunity for our students.
Congratulations to the Giles Family
Our warmest congratulations to Claire & Jackson Giles on the safe arrival of Frankie Mae Giles born on 28 July. We wish Claire and her family all our love and best wishes as they welcome their little bundle of joy into their family. We are all very much looking forward to meeting Frankie Mae when she visits school.
